I have always marveled at the detail, complexity, nuance and scale of the natural world and all living things, and I get great pleasure from capturing an intimate view of their beauty and expressions for others to see. I have been interested in photography since I was 10 years old. I received my first “real” camera at 12 and remember taking pictures during all of our family travels. In high school, I was fortunate enough to be able to develop all of my photos for school publications in my own darkroom at home.
